Why Saved Feed Matters In Organic Farming

Without bought-in concentrates to fall back on, an organic dairy lives or dies by the quality of the feed it stores. A well-filled silage clamp is the difference between a calm winter and an anxious one.

We cut early for leafy, high-protein forage, seal it carefully and check it through the cold months. Good preservation keeps the nutrition locked in so the herd never goes short.

Saved feed is quiet insurance. It costs effort in summer and pays it back tenfold when the grass stops growing.
